Want to Adopt the Perfect Dog for your family?

Discover why National Geographic calls… The Australian Labradoodle…

“…The most popular breed of designer dog …combines the intelligence, aloof nature, and the low-allergy, and non-shedding traits of the poodle with the boisterous exuberance, lovability, and loyalty of a lab.” (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/01/0115_040115_tvdesignerdogs.html February 9, 2004)

Why are Australian Labradoodles at Kennel of Dreams such High Value Dogs?

First, I only breed and raise “multi-generation” labradoodles with a pedigree traceable to the founding breeders in Australia. I do not and will not breed the American version of Labradoodle being bred here in the states. Australian Labradoodles are the result of over twenty-five years of careful, selective breeding to meet breed standards of health, coat-quality, and temperament. There is more than a Lab and a Poodle in this breed and no one else will ever be able to duplicate the Australian developed Labradoodle. In contrast, labradoodles originating from outside Australia are typically lower quality and lower priced, and the results and experience can be very unpredictable and disappointing, so buyer beware. I continue my breeding carefully in the tradition of the founding breeders.

Second, my Australian Labradoodles receive the nurturing, home environment most large kennels do not offer. When a litter is born I am with them around the clock for the first week of life making sure everyone is getting enough to eat. They are also monitored closely for weight gains and to make sure everything goes well.. My family members are involved in the daily care, playing with, and training of the dogs. A breeder who treats their dogs as members of the family prepares them to become an excellent, well-adjusted pet for their adoptive family.

Finally, each of my Australian Labradoodle puppies comes with a health warranty until they are two years of age.

What Should You Consider Before Adopting an Australian Labradoodle?

Let's make sure you qualify as a pet owner.

Pet Adoption is a commitment for the life of the pet and is not to be taken lightly. Responsible pet ownership takes time and effort, and you must be willing to give both daily. Before deciding to get a new puppy (of any breed), ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I willing to pick up messes the puppy will make in my home?
  • Will I exercise the puppy twice daily no matter how I feel or what the weather is?
  • Am I willing to take my puppy to classes and work daily with him/her to train him/her to be a good canine citizen?
  • Am I willing to take my puppy to the vet for check ups and shots when needed and to seek a vets advise on health and care issues?
  • Am I willing to provide my puppy with a high quality diet to provide for proper development?
  • Am I prepared to have things chewed up if left out in puppies reach?
  • Am I prepared to deal with a puppy chewing on furniture?
